Our Story

Pioneering a Georgian Cultural Market in America

When we created Qvevri Georgian & European Market, we did not want to open another international grocery store.

We wanted to create something that did not yet exist in this part of the United States — a dedicated physical destination where the country of Georgia could be experienced through its food, wine, culture, history, craftsmanship, traditions, and hospitality.

Today, Qvevri Georgian & European Market proudly stands as the first and, at this time, the only dedicated standalone brick-and-mortar Georgian cultural market across the Central, Southern, and Western United States.

Other international and European markets may carry individual Georgian products. Qvevri was created around Georgia itself.

Every part of our market reflects that purpose — from our Georgian wine collection and authentic foods to cultural displays, handcrafted gifts, traditional treasures, educational stories, and the hospitality our country is known for.

At the same time, Qvevri opens the door to flavors and traditions from across Europe, creating a place where cultures can be discovered, stories can be shared, and guests can feel connected to something beyond the products on the shelves.

For us, being first is not simply a title.

It is a responsibility.

A responsibility to represent Georgia with authenticity, to preserve and share its heritage, to introduce more people to its extraordinary wine culture and traditions, and to create a place our community will remember.

As Round Rock’s first and only dedicated Georgian market, Qvevri has become a home for authentic Georgian products, Georgian wine, and Georgian food in the Austin area — a European market rooted firmly in Georgian culture and hospitality.

We did not create Qvevri simply to sell products.
We created it to give Georgia a home in Texas.

Come as a guest. Leave as family.
